AIDS Vancouver is proud to announce the Vancouver International AIDS Candlelight Memorial
~ Promoting Health and Dignity Together
The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial is one of the world’s oldest and largest grassroots mobilization campaigns for HIV awareness in the world. Started in 1983, the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial takes place every third Sunday in May and is led by a coalition of some 1,200 community organizations in 115 countries. AIDS Vancouver is honoured to be the host community organization for the Vancouver event, lovingly returned to Alexandra Park.
This is the 29th year for the candlelight memorial and the theme is "Promoting Health and Dignity Together". The International gatherings all aim to raise awareness around HIV and to promote respect for the human rights of people living with HIV everywhere. Together, alongside with our community partners and allies, we invite you to join us.
