IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING

LOCATION OF THE MAY 4TH SRA MEETING

 Please note that the May 4th SRA meeting will be held at the Senior's Lounge of the RAY-CAM CO-OPERATIVE CENTRE at 920 East Hastings.

 After last month's meeting, I invited board members of the Ray-Cam Co-operative Centre to come to our next meeting. The Ray-Cam people in turn invited us to hold our upcoming SRA meeting at Ray-Cam.

 This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get up to date on the important work and recent initiatives of the Ray-Cam Co-operative Centre.

VOTE ON MOTION to approve $450 to buy 24 Copies of OPENING DOORS as gifts for Guest Speakers

 

JUNE 1ST MEETING

The location of the June 1st meeting will be back at our usual location at the Strathcona Community Centre at 601 Keefer.

 

Guest Speakers for the June 1st meeting will be Carole Itter and Daphne Marlatt who will talk about the process of collecting the 50 stories used in their ground-breaking people’s history of the East End,  HYPERLINK "http://www.harbourpublishing.com/title/OpeningDoors" OPENING DOORS

 

Carole and Daphne will be glad to sign copies of the book which are available for sale in the neighbourhood at Benny’s, Les amis du fromage, Union Market, and the Wilder Snail.
