HOPE IN SHADOWS PHOTO EXHIBIT AT SUN YAT-SEN GARDEN
Hope in Shadows is excited to partner with the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden to present a specially curated exhibition of photography by Downtown Eastside community members. Selected from the Hope in Shadows archive, the images in this exhibition are perspectives on garden spaces, and artistic and scholarly pursuits in the Downtown Eastside.
Opening Exhibition Saturday, December 3, from 1:00 to 4:00. Admission to Sun Yat-Sen Garden and exhibition is free with pre-registration on eventbrite.
The exhibition hangs from December 3 to 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily (closed Mondays).
'SOUTH SHORE CORRIDOR PROJECT' OPEN HOUSE

Port Metro Vancouver will be hosting an Open House so residents and businesses can learn more about the South Shore Corridor Project, which includes a new, elevated road over Stewart Street between Clark Drive and Victoria Drive, a pedestrian overpass at Victoria Drive for employees, and improvements at key intersections to better manage truck access to port terminals.
We encourage you to drop in any time between 11am and 4pm to learn about the project, ask questions and provide your input.

BOOK FAIR AT STRATHCONA SCHOOL

8:30 am-9:30 a.m. and afternoons 2:30-4p.m.
WHERE: Basement of the Primary building at Strathcona school. (nice and easy for strollers, wheelchairs, and elderly).

The PAC been busy organizing this event to make it possible for Christmas shopping, and have an amazing amount of brand new beautiful books from preschool level , all the way to grade 7. We also have a lovely selection of nice French books. As well as learning tools, stocking stuffers, and classroom gifts!
SCHOLASTIC has a very good profit margin for our sales. EVERY PURCHASE MEANS MORE RESOURCES FOR THE SCHOOL.
