SRA Newsletter 27 January 2012

Hi, Strathcona friends and neighbours. Just a few items for you:

THANK YOU FROM THE BRITANNIA SCHOOL BAND

Thank you to the Strathcona community for its warm and generous response to the Britannia Band's bottle drive on January 7th.  We not only met but exceeded our $500 fundraising target for a total of $650 in bottles, and the kids were really thrilled when they even got some cash donations.  It was an incredibly wet day for it but the kids worked hard all day despite the weather, and the support of the people we met really helped to keep them (and their parents!) going.
