Urban Aboriginal Winter Festival & Dialogue

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

An Aboriginal Artisan Winter Sale, Hip Hop Bingo, Blues Review & Powwow, Film Night, Children's Art Program, Traditional Dancers, Traditional Tea service, and nightly Aboriginal Long Table Dinners prepared by W2 Media Cafe.

ALIVE, W2, Round House CC, Ray Cam CC, 125 City of Vancouver, KAYA, VIMAF, LMUW and many more have co-sponsored this event for the entire community.

We believe that by building bridges with the broader community we can help create a greater understanding of urban Aboriginal people, learning and sharing, to find ways to work together to build safer communities throughout all of Vancouver, that engages one of Vancouver's more vulnerable populations.

We will have a Urban Aboriginal Dialogue Series, beginning at noon to 2:00, December 13-15. We have confirmed speakers from the Parks Board, School Board and the City along with key Aboriginal facilitators to help create a dialogue on whats currently in process and how we can enhance various processes to be inclusive and support challenged children and families in the community they live.
