Minister of Environment responds to SRA request

In response to our recent letter requesting a Provincial Environmental Assessment for the Centerm Port Expansion, we recieved the following reply from Minister of the Environment George Heyman.

Our train noise and vibration complaint to the Canadian Transportation Agency will go to mediation on June 12. CN Rail is aware that we are seeking a full resolution to the issue that day and that we are prepared to request formal adjudication if the mediation session does not succeed.


The city of Vancouver has hired the Jefferson Center (https://jefferson-center.org/) to organize and oversee the Community Panel tasked with selecting a route for the much-debated new arterial road to replace Prior.

The Centerm Port Working Group is focused the impact the proposed port expansion will have on our neighbourhood and the need for a Provincial Environmental Assessment. 


NO ROAD THRU THE PARK!
The New Arterial Working Group is focused on keeping the proposed overpass and arterial out of Strathcona Park and off Prior St.


Bothered by the train? The Burrard Inlet Line Working Group is focused on what can be done to minimize the impact of rail traffic through our neighborhood.
