The Strathcona BIA is a non-profit, member driven organization that represents business and commercial property owners in the Strathcona area. They play an important role in the business development, safety, security and street enhancement in Strathcona. Their mission is to maintain a co-operative effort in revitalizing the area of Strathcona by facilitating a safe and vibrant destination to live, work, set up shop and have fun; done through the initiation of innovative programs and strategies to develop the unique characteristics of the area. Based in Vancouver B.C., Building Opportunities with Business (BOB) is a non-profit organization that is championing an inclusive revitalization process for the inner-city that values existing businesses and residents. BOB is a connector, a resource and a facilitator working to: strengthen the inner-city's community capacity; identify and build on untapped business opportunities; improve employment opportunities and retention; and increase investment in Vancouver's inner-city.
