The DTES Local Area Plan will be presented to Council tomorrow. The following is the SRA position on the LAPP which Chair Pete Fry will present in person. The speaker's list will likely be quite long, and possibly tense, but residents can submit written comments to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Of course, top of the list is final draft of the Local Area Plan for the Downtown Eastside and Strathcona, which has just been released and will be going to council on March 12. We'll be offering some background and points to consider below - with an expanded conversation at this Wednesday

We'll forgoe much commentary to share links to the final draft Plan and Staff report, which have just been released moments ago.
Obviously, at some 320 pages is some serious reading but does represent a 30 year plan and significant changes to the area.
Residents will have an opportunity to discuss the plan at our regularily scheduled SRA meeting...
