It’s a great way to stay informed and connected, offer feedback and just celebrate what makes Strathcona such a vibrant neighbourhood.

The SRA will not be holding its monthly meeting in July and August.
The next meeting will be our annual AGM on September 6. We are actively looking for a few new board members, especially someone who can help with social media outreach. With all the changes going on around us, it’s more important than ever to get actively involved with what’s going on in Strathcona. If you’re intrigued, please contact Dan at email@example.com.

City Council Staff heard on May 17th the draft of the False Creek Flats area plan, including the proposal for an arterial to be built alongside Malkin Street, National Street or Williams Street. Based on the vote we took during our SRA meeting in April, the SRA sent in a letter to Council opposing the proposal of Williams Street serving as this main arterial. Despite the letter sent and community representatives speaking at the hearing, Council are...

We currently have several openings on the board and would love to find a few residents who are concerned about Strathcona’s future, would like to get more involved and have a few hours a month...

For our upcoming SRA Meeting on March 1 at 7pm in the Strathcona Community Centre, we have invited several stakeholders to participate in a panel discussion on "The Future of Chinatown". With many new property development projects underway in Chinatown, our community has raised concern during the December SRA Meeting about implications for Chinatown's residents, businesses and culture. Given that the future of Chinatown is very closely linked to that...

The Vancouver Park Board are currently considering a renewal for Strathcona Park (between Prior St, Malkin St, Raymur Ave, and Hawks Ave).
As a way to provide input to the Park Board at the early stages of planning - rather than reacting to near complete plans - we would like to seek input from Strathcona residents on what the community would like to see in a re-designed Strathcona Park.
All responses will be anonymized, presented at an upcoming SRA meeting, and shared with...
