Last Saturday, Dan Jackson and Richard Taplin gave the SRA's presentation to the Flats Arterial Community Panel on why we oppose a road through the park and support the National/Charles option (NatCha). Larry Chan also spoke on why this isn't about choosing a road, it's about choosing a future for Strathcona.
Below are the highlights and links to two maps Richard prepared using the City's National-Grant map. For comparision, the City finally releasaed their own version - the day...

A big thanks to Penny Crawford for taking minutes at last night's meeting (and thanks to Councillor Pete Fry for stopping by). For those of you who missed it, here they are. Feel free to add your comments.
Also, the SRA will be presenting to the Community Panel this Saturday, at 1:30 at the Dudoc Center at 189 Frances, just east of Clark. A good chance to see the process in action. A preview below...

A huge thanks to the (by my count) 80 Strathconians who came to Saturday's Rally in support of calming Prior. It was so great (and gratifying) to see how many people really care. Fantastic signs. Amazing energy. What a community! We need to do that more often.
Thanks also to the many elected officals who were there: City Councillors Pete Fry and Sarah Kirby-Yung and Park Board Commissioners Stuart MacKinnon, Tricia Baker, Dave Demers and Camil Dumont, as well as Councillors Colleen...

DECEMBER MEETING
Thanks for the amazing turnout last month. We’ll be holding our December monthly meeting this Wednesday, Dec. 5, 7-9 PM at the Strathcona Community Centre. No big agenda. Just a follow-up to last month's Community Panel discussion (we've invited other community groups to come and share their perspective) and then a conversation about “What next?” About the arterial, the trains, the parks. Where should we be focusing our energies in 2019?
All welcome. Come if...

First off, thanks to the many people who came out for our November SRA meeting. It was inspiring and invigorating to see Strathcona rally once again behind the future on our neighbourhood.
For anyone who did not make the meeting, Susanna Haas Lyons, the chair of the Community Panel, sent a copy of her presentation. Here's a link. If you would like an overview of the concerns that came up at the meeting, here another link.
For anyone who would like to be on the Panel...
